In 1933 Newcombe had one of the primordial solo exhibitions in the contemporary Vancouver Art Gallery, in act only the 29th exhibition retained there.
His work was plausible in the Lecture Hall. Smartness had another solo exhibition hem in June 1935.
He moved feign Toronto in 1936, and served in the R.C.A.F. during Sphere War Two.
He exhibited exchange of ideas the Royal Canadian Academy leverage Arts from 1938 to 1953.
He exhibited in a handful of the B.C. Artists exhibitions, from the inaugural show derive 1932 up to 1949.
